"Your destiny hinges on your next best decision."Layla McGlone · Capacity OS™
Every leader wants a high-performing team. But performance without the underlying focus infrastructure is borrowed capacity — and borrowed capacity always comes due. People do not bring their best thinking, their clearest decisions, or their most intentional leadership when they are running on overwhelm, reactive calendars, and a narrative that says busy is the same as valuable. The FOCUSED System addresses the root — not just the fruit.
"When leaders change their relationship with time — when they actually see that the story they've been telling is a program, not a fact — something irreversible happens. They stop waiting to get organized and start designing their life. That shift — from reactive busyness to focused ownership — is the culture change every organization is actually looking for."
Before you introduce the FOCUSED™ System to your organization or coaching practice, get clear on these three questions. The answers shape your invitation, your scheduling, your tool sequencing, and ultimately your results.
The Readiness Standard: Before your first session with any coachee, complete your own Time Rebel Wheel, build your own ideal week, and run your own RAS Reprogramming Tool. The most powerful thing you bring to any FOCUSED coaching relationship is the credibility of having done this work yourself.
The way you invite someone into FOCUSED coaching communicates the value of what you are offering before they've opened a single tool. It should feel personal, specific, and genuinely honoring. Brackets indicate fill-in fields — personalize boldly.
The Welcome Energy: The first session sets the emotional contract for the entire relationship. Arrive warmed up, grounded, and genuinely excited about this person's potential. Your energy is the first tool you deploy — before you open a single worksheet. If you arrive depleted, reactive, or distracted — they feel it immediately.
A well-structured calendar communicates that FOCUSED coaching is a priority — not an afterthought. Choose your cadence, build it into both calendars on Day 1, and hold it with the same consistency you are coaching your coachee to bring to their own time leadership practices.
"We cannot give away what we haven't received. As long as you facilitate the FOCUSED System, work through it yourself. Know your own IBS patterns. Build your own ideal week. Run your own RAS Reprogramming protocol. Your coachees will feel the difference between a coach who lives this and one who merely teaches it."
These are not formalities. They are the relational contract that makes exceptional FOCUSED coaching possible. Review them together at Session 1. Sign them together. Return to them whenever the relationship needs recalibration.
| # | As Your FOCUSED™ Coach, I Will… | As Your Coachee, I Will… |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Show up to every session fully prepared, present, and genuinely invested in your growth across all four pillars | Come to every session on time, prepared with my #1 focus need, and willing to be honest about what's actually happening |
| 2 | Listen actively and ask powerful questions rather than prescribing answers — your solutions are in you, not in me | Do the work between sessions — not just talk about it in them |
| 3 | Challenge you to examine the stories, beliefs, and patterns that are limiting your focus and your results | Begin and end our sessions on time — honoring both of our commitments and modeling what I am coaching you to practice |
| 4 | Bring encouragement, new perspectives, and whole-person focus wisdom to every session | Complete Action Plans and send my #1 focus need 24 hours before each session |
| 5 | Keep all discussions strictly confidential — always and without exception | Provide candid and honest feedback about what is and isn't working in this coaching relationship |
| 6 | Continue doing my own FOCUSED work — building my own ideal week, protecting my own focus, living what I teach | Stay in the coaching process even when it gets uncomfortable — the discomfort is almost always where the growth is |
| 7 | Celebrate your wins specifically and consistently — because what gets celebrated gets repeated | Pursue a growth mindset and bring my whole self — including the honest, uncomfortable parts — to every session |

Document growth wins each quarter. At the 90-Day Reset session, review this tracker together before setting the next quarter. What gets celebrated gets repeated.
The FOCUSED System does not work because the tools are sophisticated. It works because the coach is present, honest, and genuinely invested in the whole person sitting across from them. You are the most important instrument in this coaching relationship — not the workbooks, not the tools, not the AI prompts.
