Weekly Life
Above the Curve™

Design your ideal week before the world designs it for you. Your calendar is either a declaration of your values — or evidence that someone else owns your time.

The Vision That Started It All — Written 2020
"I commit to driving a cultural movement that rebels against the rat race, redefining our relationship with time. I will serve 1,000+ businesses and build a Time Rebel army of 100K leaders who break up with busy — liberating people from overwhelm, gaining focus and capacity to improve their people, process and profits."
— Layla Fay McGlone · Founder, Time Rebel™ · Capacity OS™

The Bell Curve. The Norm. The Rat Race.

In statistics, the bell curve represents the distribution of any normal population. Most people cluster in the middle — the average, the default, the norm. Not because they chose to be there, but because they never chose anything differently. The middle is where the rat race lives. Where busyness is the badge of honor. Where calendars fill themselves and days blur together.

Life Above the Curve is a deliberate choice to step outside that distribution. Not to be better than other people — but to be free from the system that keeps most people stuck. It is the decision to design your life rather than default into it.

The Bell Curve of Time Leadership

Where do you choose to live?

Below the Curve
Reactive. Depleted. Calendar owned by everyone else. Surviving, not leading. Overwhelmed and overcommitted.
The Norm
Busy by default. Trying hard. Some wins, some losses. Never quite getting ahead. Hamster wheel spinning.
Life Above the Curve
Intentional. Focused. Calendar leads with purpose. Full — not busy. Free from the rat race. Time Rebel.

Your Ideal Week Is Your Priority Filter Made Visible

The most powerful time leadership tool is not an app or a scheduling system. It is a clearly designed ideal week — a visual declaration of what your time is for, built around singular daily focus, protected margin, and a life you genuinely want to live and enjoy.

When your ideal week is designed and owned, every request, invitation, and ask passes through it like a filter. Someone asks you to lunch on a Tuesday? You know instantly — Tuesdays are coaching days. The answer is Wednesday or Friday. Two options. No decision fatigue. No guilt. Just clarity.

The Time Rebel standard: If you live according to your ideal week 75–80% of the time, you are killing it. Life is full of exceptions — build grace into the system. The ideal week is not a prison. It is a compass. You always know which direction is north.

When you start living intentionally, not everyone will follow. Some people in your life who loved the hamster wheel may drift away. The crabs in the bucket will try to pull you back. Decide now — you are not going back.

Name Each Day. Own Each Day.

Give each day a singular theme — one word or phrase that governs what happens that day. Then expand each day to define exactly what belongs, what time blocks to protect, and what should never land there. What you enter here will populate your weekly planner on Page 4.

When a request arrives that needs a moment — what do you say to buy yourself the time to check your filter before responding?

Work Is One Layer. Life Is the Whole.

Your ideal week is not complete until your relationships, self-care, joy, and renewal are built in — not squeezed around everything else, but protected with the same intentionality as your most important meeting. These are not luxuries. They are the infrastructure of a sustainable, powerful life.

How I Will Empower Others This Week

Life Above the Curve is not just about protecting your time — it is about using your best time to lift others.

The Grace Standard

75–80%
is killing it. The rest is just life.

"Even after more than a decade of living the Time Rebel lifestyle, there are still once or twice a year when everything converges in one week — despite the best planning. Those weeks happen. They are not failure. They are the adventure reminding you that nothing is ever static — and you have the flexibility, self-discipline, and clarity of purpose to walk it out."

Your Ideal Week Meets This Week

The left column shows your ideal day themes — set on Page 2. The right columns are where you plan this specific week. Map your appointments, priorities, and commitments against your ideal. Protect what matters. Flex where needed. Then go lead it.

💡 How this works: Your ideal day themes from Page 2 appear automatically in the left column. Fill in the right columns with this week's actual schedule — morning, midday, and afternoon blocks for each day. Use the weekly intentions below to set your focus before you start.
